Rumusan Masalah gambaran pasien sindrom koroner akut di RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan pada tahun 2014

iii ABSTRACT Cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of death globally. One of the cardiovascular disease is Acute Coronary Syndrome ACS. ACS is a state of emergency from Coronary Heart Disease CHD consists of : ST Elevation myocardial infarction STEMI, Non ST Elevation myocardial infarction NSTEMI, and Unstable Angina Pectoris UAP. The aim of this study is to determine description of patients with acute coronary syndrome in Adam Malik Medan Hospital in 2014. Descriptive research has been conducted with a a cross-sectional study and a retrospective approach using medical record. The population in this study were hospitalized patients with acute coronary syndrome in Adam Malik Medan Hospital from period January 1st 2014-December 31st 2014. By using simple purposive sampling technique, samples was identified by using formula and 85 samples were obtained. Data was analyzed using SPSS computer program. From the results of this study, obtained the highest number of ACS patients that is the type of STEMI as many as 43 patients 50,6, followed by as many as 25 patients 29,4 NSTEMI and APTS patients 17 20. Out of 85 ACS patients, obtained the most group of age is between 40-60 years old 60 patients 70,6, male patients 65 76,5, and Islam religion patients 50 58,8. Only 13 patients 15,3 were having cardiovascular disease history in family. Data was analyzed, it show the frequency of smoking habits, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia from the most to the least are as follow respectively, hypertension 64 patients 75,3, smoking habits patients 56 65,9, diabetes mellitus patients 48 56,5 and dyslipidemia patients 44 51,8. From the results of this study, description of patients with acute coronary syndrome in Adam Malik Medan Hospital in 2014 obtained the highest number of patients that is the type of STEMI, age between 40-60 years old, Islam religion. ACS patients are mostly having smoking habits, hypertension, dyslipidemia and diabetes mellitus. Keyword: Acute Coronary Syndrom, Acute Myocardial Infarction
