Low Allowed
As mention before, obligation implies the urgency of something to be done. However, the urgency is stated in three levels. There are three modals
obligation in Ivanka Trump‟s campaign speech. Two of them are included in mid level of obligation and the rest is included in low level. All of them will be
discussed below. The modality which is used in 1 is should. This modality is included in
mid level of obligation. Since it is included in mid level, this modal means supposed. The sentence has he as the subject of the sentence which contextually
refers to Donald Trump. The verb that follows the modal is a passive verb be done. The purpose of Ivanka by uttering this sentence is to show that Donald
Trump always asks them the officers for feedback. This has purpose to see whether there is something that is supposed to be done differently.
Sentence 2 has similar modal, should. This belongs to the mid level of obligation which means supposed. There is an auxiliary verb that follows the
modal which is be and the noun novelties. However, there is a negation not in the sentence which, in this case, shows something that cannot be done. Ivanka Trump
utters the sentence to argue that the policies that allow women with children to
thrive are not supposed to be novelties. In the other words, it has to be a tradition and something in common.
The last sentence showing obligation is found in 3. The modal found is might. According to the theory, this modal is included in low level of obligation
which means allowed. The verb following this modal is think. The clause where this modal occurs has a subject which is you. If it is understood based on the
context, the subject yourefers to Ivanka Trump. What is meant by Ivanka Trump by uttering the sentence is to show that her father ever once told her that if she
would like to think, she is allowed to think big. This modal does not show something that strictly should be done. As it is stated before that this modal is a
member of low level, Ivanka Trump still has choices. In the other words, this modal is not an inescapable obligation.

which are categorized as probability. As reviewed before, probability states
something that may happen in the future. Below, the writer provides the discussion.
Both sentences use modal will to show the notion of probability. Both modals probability also have a mid level of probability which means probable. In
1, the modal is followed by verb get. Then, the subject of the sentence is words and promises no matter visionary they sound. The implied meaning that is tried to
be delivered by Ivanka Trump is that the words in the form of promises and visionary from other candidates probably make you far away from the reality.
Those promises and visionary are only novelties. In 2, the modal is followed by verb appear. The subject of the sentence
in 2 is a soaring structure. The function of modality in the sentence is to show that soaring structure of a tower is probable to appear. In addition, Ivanka Trump

Usually Usuality refers to the state of how often somebody does an activity. Ivanka
Trump in her speech employs seven modals which are categorized as usuality. Based on the text analysis, the writer finds out that two of seven modals are high
level and five are mid level. In the following paragraph, the writer would like to discuss some of those sentences.
The modal employed in 1 is would. This modal is a mid level modal of usuality which means usually. The subject of this sentence is he which refers to
Donald Trump. The verb talk follows the modal. Based on the theory, this sentence means that Donald Trump usually talks to them. If it is seen from the
whole context, the word them refers to the people who experience injustice and hardship.
Sentence 2 has similar explanation to 1. The modal would is also a mid level of usuality which means usually. However, sentence 2 has different subject
of sentence which is they. The personal pronoun they refers to the people who experience injustice and hardship. The modal in this sentence tells us that after
