CHAPTER IV REASEARCH FINDING AND DISCUSSION

This study was conducted by implementing action reasearch method. The reseracher implemented the actions to improve the teaching leaning process. In this case, the aim of this research was improving the teaching learning process of writing narrative through the use of sequence picures. The participants were the students of class XA MAN LAB UIN Yogyakarta the accademic year of 20132014.

A. Researh Process

Detail information of the research process is presented in the following discussion. 1. Identification of the field problems Before implementing the actions, the researcher firstly conducted reconnaissance to identify the existing problems in the field. The reconnaisance done by researcher included some important activities. They were class observation and interview. Those activities were conducted on October 16- 25 2013. The first activity carried out by the researcher was observing the English teaching and learning process of grade XA. It was done to collect any valuable the problems that arose during the teaching and learning process in the classrom. Then interviewing the teacher and the students was the second activity done by researcher. The interviwes were done to collect information about the teacher and the studen ts’ perspective about the teaching and learning process of English and also their feelings about the difficulties in the English teaching and learning process. After the class observation and interviews, information about the problems in the English teahing and learning process arising in the field was obtained.
