One of them was to try to consistently and continuously up- date the content on the website of www.ireyogya.org with
the publication on the activities and the articles including the planning on the design changes to make it more attrac-
tive and simple.

The table above shows the hits, pages, number of visits, and unique visitors on the page of www.ireyogya.org. From the
early to mid of the year, there was a decline in the number of unique visitors on the website of IRE, but then the number
rose steadily since September to December. IRE was in the fourth position http:www.prmonitor.net on the range
rank google. As a think tank institution, fourth position was a good position for IRE, and it shows that internet users have
given quite high attention and interaction to www.ireyogya. org.
Change and development were also carried out on the prod- ucts of printed publication, one of them is Flamma Magazine
managed by this unit. Flamma changed from magazine to re- view. The reason of the format change was to further encour-
age Flamma as publication media of the institution that pub- lished with the simple theoretical framework in simple lan-
guage. The majority of the readers of Flamma thought that the language used in the magazine was too scientific making

Perubahan dan pengembangan juga dilakukan terhadap produk publikasi cetak, salah satunya Majalah Flamma yang
dikelola oleh unit ini. Flamma mengalami perubahan for- mat dari bentuk majalah menjadi format review. Alasan pe-
rubahan format Flamma ini adalah untuk lebih mendorong Flamma sebagai media publikasi lembaga yang terbit den-
gan kerangka teoritik yang sederhana dengan bahasa yang sederhana. Sebagian kalangan pembaca Flamma berangga-
pan bahwa bahasa yang digunakan dalam majalah tersebut terlalu ilmiah sehingga terkadang sulit dipahami oleh ma-
syarakat awam yag merupakan sasaran pembaca Majalah Flamma.
Flamma Review selama tahun 2014 telah terbit tiga edisi. Flamma mengangkat fokus tema perilaku warga dalam
bersiasat mewarnai pemilu 2014 di bulan April 2014; kes- ejahteraan desa pasca UU Desa untuk terbitan Agustus 2014;
serta penguatan kapasitas desa untuk menuju desa berdaya pada penerbitan bulan Desember 2014.
Selain Flamma Review, selama tahun 2014, IRE juga telah menerbitkan sejumlah produk cetak berupa policy paper,
buku, naskah akademik, majalah, procedding kegiatan, post- er dan banner, dan laporan penelitian.

it sometimes difficult to understand by the public that be- came the target readers of Flamma Magazine.
During 2014, Flamma Review was published in three edi- tions. Flamma raised the theme focusing on the scheming
behavior of the people in the 2014 election in April 2014; the welfare of villages post Village Law in August 2014; the
capacity building of villages toward autonomous villages in December 2014.
Beside Flamma Review, during 2014, IRE also published a number of printed products in the form of policy paper, book,
academic text, magazine, proceeding of activities, poster and banner, and research report.

Communication Strategy Unit was also responsible in sup- porting IRE’s monthly discussion regularly held in Joglo
Winasis. The dissemination of information about these ac- tivities through posters or banners triggered the public to
be more interested to attend as participants. The dynamics happening during the discussions was always uploaded in
the form of straight news or feature on the IRE’s website. Be- sides, the involvement of journalists covering these activities
effectively expanded the echo and greatness of IRE’s month-

Unit Strategi Komunikasi juga bertanggungjawab dalam melakukan support kegiatan diskusi bulanan IRE yang rutin
diselenggarakan di Joglo Winasis. Penyebarluasan informasi kegiatan ini melalui poster ataupun banner telah membuat
kegiatan tersebut semakin menarik minat publik untuk hadir sebagai peserta. Dinamika yang berlangsung selama diskusi,
senantiasa diunggah dalam bentuk straightnews atau feature di website IRE. Selain itu keterlibatan wartawan dalam me-
liput kegiatan tersebut telah efektif memperluas gaung dan syiar diskusi bulanan IRE yang selalu hadir dengan tema
yang aktual dan menarik.
Kedepannya tantangan dalam berkomunikasi dan mem- publikasikan produk pengetahuan dan kegiatan-kegiatan
program lembaga diprediksi akan semakin besar. Tentu hal tersebut membutuhkan lebih banyak ide gagasan brilian,
dan energi dalam melakukan strategi komunikasi. Bukan saja mengemasnya dalam bentuk yang menarik, namun juga
membutuhkan terobosan-terobosan baru agar komunikasi dan publikasi bisa mengiringi langkah lincah kegiatan pro-
gram dan project di lembaga.

ly discussions that always came with actual and interesting themes.
In the future, the challenges in communicating and publiciz- ing knowledge products and the program activities of the
institute were predicted to be even greater. Of course, they need more brilliant ideas and energy in doing the strategy
of communication, not only to package them in an attractive form but also to make new breakthroughs in communication
and publication that can accompany the agile program ac- tivities and project in the institution.
