52 learning process, the atmosphere of the classroom is very alive because the
students were very active and have had a big motivation to learn. Finally the observer and the teacher discussed about the improvement of the
students’ score from pre-test, post-test I and post-test II. It was proven from pre-test, the students who passed the Minimum Mastery Criterion-
Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal KKM 65 were four students or 16.67, The student who passed the Minimum Mastery Criterion- Kriteria
Ketuntasan Minimal KKM 65 in post-test 1 of the first cycle were 12 students or 50, and the students who passed the Minimum Mastery
Criterion- Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal KKM 65 in the post-test II of second cycle were 21 students or 87.5.
According to the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of Classroom Action Research CAR in developing
students’ ability in using imperative sentences Through Total Physical Response TPR could be success, then the teacher and the observer
decided to stop to the next cycle.
D. The Data Analysis
After conducting the action research, the writer gained three data; those were the result of post interview, the result of post-test and the result of field note.
For further description as following:
1. The Result of Post Interview
This interview was conducted on Friday 3
rd
September 2010 started from 09.00 A.M up to 10.00 A.M. after conducting the cycle 2, the writer asked some
questions related to three things which had become the main points in this interview. Those are the students’ condition and the classroom situation in the
teaching learning process after applying the Total Physical Response TPR Method, the development of students’ skill in using imperative sentences after
implementing the Total Physical Response TPR Method, and the teacher’s
53 opinion and motivation in applying of Total Physical Response TPR Method in
teaching imperative sentences. First point is about students’ condition and classroom situation, the teacher
said that the students’ condition in the teaching learning process after applying the Total Physical Response TPR is more active in learning, they look interested in
learning imperative sentences, they feel fun and enjoy, and they can memorize the vocabularies in the short time. The classroom situation is very attractive and
enjoyable, the students can response the teacher’s command and give full concentration and attention when the teacher explain the material.
Second point is about the development of students’ skill in using imperative sentences after implementing the Total Physical Response TPR
Method, the teacher told that his students’ skill had increased than before pre- implementation of CAR. The students’ not only fell enjoy, fun and relax in
learning but also they can use the imperative sentence when they ask some one to do something, beside they also understand about meaning of the sign that they
usually find out in the some places. Then the students can apply the rules to make the affirmative and negative imperative sentences, so that they can use it in the
real communication. Finally, Concerned with the teacher’s opinion and motivation in applying
Total Physical Response TPR in teaching imperative sentences, the teacher stated that TPR is a suitable method that the teacher should use in teaching
imperative sentences. It can make the students to be active, feel enjoy and fun, and can reduce students’ stress in learning English, especially in learning imperative
sentences. Besides, this method could be applied though the games, so that the students were very enthusiastic in following the teacher’s instruction and
command. Considering from the explanation above, the writes concluded that the Classroom Action Research was done successfully.
2. The Result of Field note a. The Situation of the Class
