4. Consistency of Parody Translation
Based on the VEH type discussion, the film uses 6 parody kind of verbal humor. The verbal humor included in this type is the imitation of particular
situations of other movie titles, but in humorous manners. After conducting the translation analysis, it can be concluded that all six Parody uttered in this movie
were consistently translated into Bahasa Indonesia, since all of them have preserved the six KR parameters. The writer found a fact that all samples of
Parody VEH have the same scripts, namely ORIGINAL vs. IMITATION. This founding was due to the nature of Parody that this humor is reworking of other
works Shade, 1996. Below is the one of parody samples discussion:

Buck sings for the baby T-Rexes to calm them down.
This parody is originally a piece of the vintage Whiffenpoof Song. Sid sings it to calm the baby T-Rexes of being frightened by their angry mother looking for
them. According to the analysis, the verbal humor was consistently translated since all KR aspects were transferred to the Indonesian version from the original
51 VEH. Since there is no Indonesian version of Whiffenpoof Song, the subtitler
opted to translate the form.
5. Consistency of Irony Translation
The writer found 31 samples of verbal humor categorized into Irony. Of the total 31 ironical verbal humor, 2 samples were not successfully rendered into
Bahasa Indonesia. The writer identified that the 2 mistranslated samples missed the SO factor from the original version, causing them to lose the LM parameter as
well. As stated by Koponen 2004, a verbal humor with different SO from the original text is considered a different humor. Below is the analysis of a
consistently-translated sample:

The translated version retained the all Knowledge Resources parameters from the source version. In this way, the translated version has delivered the equal
amount of humorous point to the target audiences. Buck convinces the herd that it is very unlikely that Sid is still alive. If the herd still wants to see Sid, Buck tells
them ironically to find him in the after-life.
52 Here is one example of mistranslated ironic verbal humor from the movie:

This sample experienced a loss in the translation process, since the translated sample lost its SO and LM aspects. The phrase “chaperoning
playdates”, which is the humor-inducing point, was mistranslated into “menemani kencan bermain”. The writer suggested a better translation of the VEH, that is,
“mengawasi anak-anak bermain”. Diego intends to leave the herd and get his natural life by complaining about this to Manny. He thinks that he should be out
there to be a predator, not to be a playdate chaperon.
