AND POPULARITY WOMEN POLITICIAN OF PERCEPTION OF WOMEN ACTIVIST INDONESIA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION This research is motivated by a problem related to affirmative action for women in Indonesia are listed in Law No. 8 of 2012 on General Election House of Representatives, the Regional Representative Council, Regional Representatives Council. Alignments policies affirmative action that guarantees political rights of women by stating the representation of women at least by 30, so as to encourage the number of women in the legislature more representative. This study is based on three formulation of the problem, namely: 1 what are the determinant factors that lead to high low electability of female politicians who ran as a member of West Java Provincial Parliament UPI Bandung perspective of student activists in the 2014 election; 2 what are the determinant factors that lead to high low popularity of female politicians who ran as a member of West Java Province Parliament UPI Bandung perspective of student activists in the 2014 election; 3 How does the perception of student activists in UPI Bandung on female politicians who ran as a member of West Java Province Parliament in the 2014 election. Grand theory in this research that liberal feminism that emerged in the 20th century which demands equal treatment of women and men, the elimination of discrimination against women. While the method used is descriptive and descriptive form of research studies. The data obtained through interviews, observation, documentation studies, and studies litelatur. Researchers reveal that: 1 Low electability of women who ran as a member of West Java Provincial Parliament UPI activist student perceptions caused by the lack of willingness and interest of the student activists UPI to choose women, due to cultural factors that have been inherent in Indonesia, namely the patriarchal culture that all matters entrusted to outside house more men to carry it out; 2 The high popularity of female politicians who ran as a member of West Java Province Parliament UPI perceptions of student activists first factor because the mass media, especially online media accessible. The second factor with banner promotion by legislative candidates, and the last that is the political issue regarding quota of 30 women in the 2014 election; 3 Perceptions of student activists UPI on female politicians who ran as a member of West Java Province Parliament in the 2014 election is fair, they are supportive of it. In addition they have specific criteria that must be owned by the politicians, that is clean, honest, young, educated and should be able to divide their time between work as a politician with a family.
