Meaning Realization
Based on the data, the data findings show that the realization of meaning is divided into 5 categories, i.e. complete meaning, increased meaning, decreased
meaning, different meaning, and zero meaning. The findings are presented into the table below.

From the table above, it is found that there are 85 cases or 58.62 which is categorized into complete meaning, 4 cases or 2.76 are increased meaning, 13
cases or 8.97 are decreased meaning, 13 cases or 8.97 are different meaning, and 30 cases or 20.68 are zero meaning.
b. Degrees of Meaning Equivalence
On the analysis of meaning, between the idiomatic expressions in English text of
Iron Man 3 movie
and their translations in Bahasa Indonesia subtitling text, this research further divides the meaning equivalence into three degrees, i.e. high,
medium, and low. The details are presented in the table below.

The table shows that 85 cases or 58.62 of English idiomatic expressions are categorized into the high degree of meaning equivalence in
Bahasa Indonesia as the target language. Meanwhile, only 17 cases or 11.72 are the medium degree. Then, the low degree has 43 cases or 29.66.
As a result, it is found that not all expression has complete meaning which is represented as the high degree of meaning equivalence. Some of them
are in the medium degree because they have increased meaning or decreased meaning. Even some expressions have only the low degree since they have
different meaning or zero meaning. The finding is presented into some tables below.
