LESSON PLAN UNIT 5 Advertisement Writing Pamphlet Subject : English Grade Semester : XI 2 Meeting : Time allocation : 4X 45’ Competence Standard : At the end of the course, the students are able to reveal the meaning of short functional text and simple essay report, narrative, analytical exposition in daily context. Basic Competence : To reveal the meaning in the form of formal and informal short functional text pamphlet using vorious written language accurately, fluently, and acceptably in daily context. Indicators : ƒ Students are able to decide the parts of pamphlet ƒ Students are able to make a mind mapping to make a music concert pamphlet ƒ Students are able to make draft of a music concert pamphlet ƒ Students are able to give comments, suggestion, and correction of their friend’s work ƒ Students are able to revise their pamphlet

Learning Material Pamphlet is a printed media using a piece of paper size A4 or a half of A4 paper used to convey information or message. Therefore, it is smaller than poster. As poster, it is also often decorated with design or illustration. A pamphlet should be used when we want to give more information that we can put on a poster. A pamphlet is usually not displayed in a public place, but it is distributed to the public. A pamphlet is used to: advertise event or product display information or instruction teach some kinds of information A pamphlet consists of: Headline Æ It is the main idea of the pamphlet that persuades the reader to do something. It is usually written briefly. Bodycopy Æ It gives explanation of the pamphlet idea. The explanation is more detail. Illustration layout Æ It is the image of the pamphlet.
