At the end of the course, the students are able to reveal the meaning of short functional text and simple essay report, narrative, analytical exposition in daily
context. Basic Competence

To reveal the meaning and rhetorical step in essay using vorious written language accurately, fluently, and acceptably in daily context in the form of analytical
exposition. Indicators
:
Students are able to ask their friend about certain topic Students are able to decide the generic structure of an analytical exposition

Analytical Exposition Text is a kind of text a text that elaborates the writer‘s idea about the phenomenon surrounding. It aims at persuading the reader that the
writer’s idea is important. The generic structure:
1. Thesis Æ Introducing the topic and indicating the writer’s position
2. Arguments ÆExplaining the arguments to support the writer’s position
3. Reiteration Æ Restating the writer’s position
