But this is not the reason for the teacher to be passive and leave hisher job to the DVD. As a resource means that the teacher has a role for being a place for the students to ask the information that they want to know. As a participant means that the teacher has to take part in the activities that are done by the students. In implementing Play School DVD in the classroom, the teacher should not stand back or just sit and watch the DVD while the students are watching it, commit to user but she should actively participate in the activities that are done by the students. A. Conclusion

After the researcher did the action research at Kalam Kudus Christian Primary School by applying Play School DVD to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery, it can be concluded that: 1. There is a significant improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery. The improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery can be found by comparing the average score of the Pre-test, Post-test 1, and Post-test 2. The average score of the Pre-test is 38.87, Post-test 1 is 66.58, and Post-test 2 is 86.25. 2. There are some strengths when Play School DVD applied in teaching vocabulary. a. Play School DVD can attract the students’ attention that makes them concentrate on the lesson. Play School DVD is one of the media that could be used to attract the students’ attention so that it can make them to concentrate on the lesson. It consists of sequences such as story, and a variety of play ideas with things to make and do that will attract the students’ attention.
