According to the field notes, the teaching and learning processes were run effectively. The researcher could do all the procedures and steps from the beginning to the end well. The researcher did her role as a controller, an organizer, a resource, an observer and an assessor excellently. 2 The Learning Progress of Cycle 2 To evaluate the improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery, the researcher took the result of Post-test 2 and compared to that of Post-test 1. The improvement can be recognized by comparing the students’ average score of Post- test 1 and the students’ average score of Post-test 2. The students’ average score of Post-test 1 is 66.68 and the students’ average score of Post-test 2 is 86.3. From the result of post test 2, there were 3 students 12.5 who got above 60, 2 students 8.33 got above 70, 9 students 37.5 got above 80, and 10 students 41.67 got more than 90. It can be concluded that the activities in Cycle 2 were successful and the students made satisfying progress. More detail data about the Post-test 2 result can be found in Appendix 7.e. The result of Post-test 2 based on the vocabulary aspects was also evaluated. The average score of: 1 pronunciation is 97.92; 2 spelling is 84.17; commit to user word meaning is 83.75, and 4 the using of word is 79.17. Below is the table of the result of Post-test 2. D. Research Findings

Analyzing the data of the study, the researcher found several findings to answer the problems of the research: 1 Can “Play School DVD” improve the students’ vocabulary mastery?; 2 What are the strengths and the weaknesses of the implementation of Play School DVD in improving the students’ vocabulary mastery? The research findings are presented in the following section.

1. Improvement of the Students’ Vocabulary Mastery.

Before the study, the researcher found that the students in class 1E faced problems in vocabulary mastery. They got problems in pronouncing the word, spelling the word, knowing the meaning of the word, and constructing the word into s simple sentence. The researcher tried to solve the problems by using Play School DVD so that the students’ vocabulary mastery could be improved. The result of teaching and learning vocabulary using Play School DVD showed that the students’ vocabulary mastery improved. The improvement can be observed by comparing: a the scores of Pre-test and Post-test 1; b the scores of Post-test 1 and Post-test 2.
