G. Teaching and Learning Procedure

1. Pre-teaching 10 minutes

a. Greeting, praying and checking the roll. b. Students knowing the objectives of the session that are given by the researcher.

2. While-teaching 60 minutes

a. Presentation 1 The researcher and students review characteristics of the recount text and mind map. 2 The researcher shows example of a recount text from the previous meeting My Fantastic Holiday and the mind map of the text. 3 The researcher explains about how to develop a mind map into a recount text. 4 The researcher gives the students an opportunity to ask about the recount text and mind map. 5 The researcher explains language features of a recount text the simple past tense. b. Practice 1 Students are asked to do Task 1 arrange the jumbled words and sentences into good order 2 Students do grammar exercises. 3 Students and the researcher discuss the Task 1. 4 The researcher gives the students an opportunity to ask about the recount text and mind map. c. Production 1 Students are asked to do Task 2 to complete a recount text based on the mind map in pairs. 2 The researcher collects the students’ writing.

3. Post-teaching 10 minutes

a. Students make a conclusion about the today learning. b. Students do the simple reflection towards the learning activities. c. Students get the feedback from the researcher about the process and their achievement of the today learning. d. Closing session.
