“The first point is a word of thanks to officials in charge of these long and
arduous negotiations ”
The word
long
has a distinctive feature in the semantic component that is [+distance], [+full parts], and [+longer time] in comparison with its closely related
words
extensive
. The semantic domain of the word
long
and
extensive
are large area. The distinctive features of the word
long
that are [+distance], [+full parts], and [+longer time] simplifies the complexity of negotiation process. When
Khamenei talks about negotiation process, it is not strategic and effective if he describes the detailed process of the negotiation because the majority of Iranian
society do not have complex political understanding so it makes society not u
nderstand about the issue. In order to make society grasp Khamenei’s intended message,
long
is purposely chosen to assist the society’s judgement that the
negotiation process is not an easy process. The negotiation process also takes lots of time and energy so the Iranian society should respect the Iranian officials
because he believes that they spend their energy and time to bring as much benefit as possible to Iran people through the negotiation and also to defend the
development of nuclear industry in Iran. In understanding the concept of negotiation, the journey metaphor is used
to highlight the objective, content, direction, and the progress of the negotiation. The objective of the negotiation is reaching an agreement that benefit those who
involve in the negotiation table, in other word is a win win solution agreement, as PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI
