strategies related to the concept of Vocabulary Learning Strategies. The result shows that most of them use metacognitive strategies to learn vocabulary.

3. Results from Students’ Interview

In order to get more holistic understanding of students‟ Vocabulary Learning Strategies VLS in learning vocabulary adopted in IPALL, it is necessary to discover students‟ background experience, action and intention . According to Catalan 2003 Vocabulary Learning Strategies VLS is a knowledge about mechanism processes and strategies used in order to learn vocabualry as well as steps or actions taken by students. Therefore, in conducting the interviews, the researcher uses Catalan‟s step in order to picture students‟ background experience, action and intention. Related to what Ellis 1994:529 states, the aspects in individual differences such as ; belief, affective states, general factors, and previous learning experiences together with the situational factors determine the choice of learning strategies. Therefore, the previous or background learning experience affects students in selecting the best learning strategies which is used in learning situation. Thirty indicators dealing with six vocabulary learning strategies from three experts: Schmitt‟s Taxonomy, Gu and Johnson‟s Category, and Nation Taxonomy were asked to the interviewees. Those are determination, social, memory, cognitive, metacognitive, and cognative. The complete transcribed of the interviews is presented in the appendices while some samples of the interview will be presented in table 4.6. They teach me because some of them are from English department of UNY and UAD. Actually, I find the meaning first, but after that I ask for clarification from my teacher whether it is correct or wrong . However, there are also expressions indicating some technical problems about opening the file, clicking the “start” button and saving the score somehow happening during their learning process. Further discussions about the students‟ vocabulary learning strategies IPALL will be presented in the second part of this chapter.

4. Results from Students’ Scores

In this survey research, students score is important in analyzing the data. The score is from vocabulary score before IPALL and the score after IPALL. or dictionary in my smartphone. If I have internet connection, sometimes, I use Google Translate . Naahhh.. But sometimes, the translation is not perfectly correct,Kak App10_Int2_AD30_202 dictionary from smartphone, Google Translate or Alfallink MET-use English media 18 Well..I want to learn vocabulary Interactive PowerPoint because it motivates me. Mmmm.. Since I am a vocational high school students, I am demanded to be able to use English in our job tomorrow,Mbak. So, I hope my English especially vocabulary can be improved day by day .Ameeeennn... App10_Int1_AD31_202 Intention Mmmmm..The difference between, who use Interactive PowerPoint and not, is located on how the words will stay in our brain. Those who use Interactive PowerPoint will memorize the words longer than who don‟t. I hope that Interactive PowerPoint can be used by more English classes even more schools,Kak App10_Int2_AL29_206 Personally, I want to improve my vocabulary more and more.
