Before Evaluation The Designed Material

After the questionnaires were filled by the participants, the total number of participants for each item was counted. As stated in the questionnaires sheets, the scores from 1-5 in the column indicate the degree of agreement given by the respondents. They elaborated as follows: 1 = strongly disagree with the statement 2 = disagree with the statement 3 = doubtful 4 = agree with the statement 5 = strongly agree with the statement At the end of the questionnaires, participants were asked to give opinions and suggestion. The participants were also interviewed by the writer. The aim of this interview was to get their suggestions, comments, and critics that were very useful for revision and improvement of the design materials. The writer found several points of suggestions as stated below: 1. Instruction Respondent advised to make the instructions simpler and clearer so that the learners can understand the instructions easier and focus on the activities instead of reading the instruction. 2. Spelling and Grammar There were some misspelling and grammatical mistakes. Respondent suggested to check the language covering grammatical and misspelling mistakes so as to avoid giving bad examples to the learners. 3. Vocabulary list Respondent suggested the writer to add vocabularies so that there could be sufficient vocabularies to prepare the learners for doing tasks. 4. Exercise A lecturer advised the writer to give semi guided exercises in role play. Some participants also suggested the writer to vary the activities to train the learners using appropriate useful expression. 5. Lay out and fonts Some respondents suggested that the layout of the materials had to be improved so that the design would be more interesting. 6. Pictures A lecturer and some participants advised the writer to add more pictures to make the design more interesting.

b. Follow Up of the Feedback

Based on the questionnaires and the interviews that were done to the participants the writer revised the designed materials. There were many revision based on both questionnaires and interviews which were shown in the boxes. The writer took UNIT 1 as an example.
