2. For the book’s author The book’s author must provide speaking materials and activities which is suitable with curriculum. The writer found some materials and activities in this textbook are not suitable with standard competence and basic competence. For example, materials of like and dislike in chapter 5 are for students in Junior high school, while expression of offering help and opinion in chapter 4 are for second grader of senior high school. Then, the writer also found some grammatical errors in the materials and activities. Before publishing, the publisher should pay attention to the grammar and to the diction on the textbook. The textbook also does not provide form for students to evaluate themselves. Whereas, by conducting this self evaluation, students will know the strengths and weaknesses from their selves. In addition, although pictures in this textbook are relevant to topic discussed, but some pict ures are not suitable with students’ daily life some pictures in chapter 1, 2, and 5. It is better to give pictures that are related to students’ world.
