Therefore, the total percentage of the agreement level was 10 and the total percentage of the disagreement level was 90. It could be concluded that most of
the students were interested in learning English. Actually, this statement was related to the Item 2. In the previous statement, it is clearly explained that the
students agreed that learning English was fun because they were interested to learn English.
Item 4. I often learn English more than 3 hours in a day.
The result of the fourth statement presented that none of the students chose strongly agree and only 6.7 who chose agree. Meanwhile, there were 53.3 of
the students disagreed and 40 strongly disagreed with the statement. Moreover, the total percentage of the agreement level was only 6.7 and the total percentage
of the disagreement level was 93.3. It means that most of the students did not really agree that they often learn English more than 3 hours in a day. This
phenomenon occurred because in English subject they only had three meetings and five hours in a week, so that they did not learn English every day. Most of
them learn English in the day before they have the meeting.
Item 5. I am interested in writing English.
The fifth statement showed that 10 of the students strongly agreed and 50 agreed that they were interested in learning English. However, there were
33.3 of the students who disagreed and 6.7 strongly disagreed with the statement. The total percentage of the agreement level was 60 and the total
percentage of the disagreement level was 40. It could be seen that some of them
56 had positive responses towards writing English. The students were interested in
writing English because in the Item 1 they believed that learning English was very important for them especially for communication. However, they realized that the
use of English was not only in spoken but also in written. Therefore, they were interested in writing English because writing was one of the important skills
needed in English learning.
Item 6. My writing skill is not really good.
The result of this statement showed that 23.3 of the students strongly agreed and 46.7 agreed with the statement that their writing were not really
good. There were only 30 disagreed and none of them strongly disagreed. Therefore, the total percentage of the agreement level was 70 and the total
percentage of the disagreement level was 30. It presented that most of the students
’ writing was not really good and only some of them who had good writing skills. Even in the previous statement they said that they were interested in
writing English, but the result showed that not all of the students had a good ability in writing. It was proven by the data gained from the observation where the
students still considered that writing was difficult for them and most of them still used Google translate as the dictionary.
Item 7. I always try to make a good writing.
The result of the seventh statement showed that 40 of the students strongly agreed and 36.7 agreed that they always tried to make a good writing.
