Selama tahun 2013 Unit Usaha Educational Product telah melakukan eksekusi beberapa program, antara lain:
1. Qualified Manpower Meningkatkan jumlah Qualified EPCs melalui perbaikan
Program Training dengan fokus terhadap produk utama Starter Pack for ETL, AQL 33 in 1 untuk memudahkan EPC dalam
mencapai sales closing. 2. New potential market
Membuka pasar baru yang potensial di Bogor, Cirebon, Lampung, Palembang, Batam dan Balikpapan.
3. Integrated Virtual Account Kerja sama dengan Bank membentuk Rekening
Virtual yang terintegrasi dengan System Madipt.
4. Integrated Report Membuat Report yang terintegrasi dengan Sumber Data Madipt
dan SAP
Unit Usaha PT. Blue Gas Indonesia BGI bergerak di bidang penjualan distribusi produk peralatan dapur dan pelayanan isi ulang gas rumah
tangga dalam tabung silinder. Pendapatan Penjualan Unit Usaha PT. Blue Gas Indonesia BGI di
tahun 2013 adalah Rp 416,25 Miliar atau turun sebesar 1.87 dibandingkan dengan Pendapatan Penjualan tahun 2012 sebesar Rp
424,18 Miliar. Sedangkan Laba Bruto tahun 2013 turun sebesar 2.51 menjadi Rp. 94,68 Miliar dari sebelumnya Rp 97,12 Miliar pada tahun
2012. Laba Usaha BGI juga mengalami penurunan dari Rp 14,7 Miliar di tahun 2012 menjadi Rp 8,95 Miliar di tahun 2013. Sebagai
konsekuensinya Laba Bersih BGI turut menurun menjadi Rp 16,42 Miliar dari sebelumnya sebesar Rp 21,03 Miliar di tahun 2012.
Penjualan Direct Selling Gas Appliances paket di tahun 2012 turun sebesar 41.30 dari sebelumnya Rp 43,46 Miliar di tahun 2012 menjadi
Rp 25,51 Miliar di tahun 2013. Sebaliknya Direct Selling Non-Gas Appliances Vienta mengalami kenaikan, dari sebelumnya Rp 47,87
Miliar di tahun 2012 menjadi Rp 60,03 Miliar atau kenaikan sebesar UNIT USAHA PT. BLUE GAS INDONESIA BGI
During 2013 Business Unit Educational Products had successfully executed several programs, i.e.:
1. Qualified Manpower Increasing amount of Qualified EPCs through improvement in
Training Program with focus on main products Starter Pack for ETL, AQL 33 in 1 with the aim to facilitate EPC in closing sales.
2. New potential market Opening new markets in the cities of Bogor, Cirebon, Lampung,
Palembang, Batam and Balikpapan. 3. Integrated Virtual Account
In collaboration with the Bank created a Virtual Account in integration with Madipt System.
4. Integrated Report Generating Reports which are integrated with Data Source Madipt
and SAP BUSINESS UNIT PT. BLUE GAS INDONESIA BGI
Business Unit PT. Blue Gas Indonesia BGI is engaged in sales distribution of kitchen appliances products and gas refills for
households. Sales Revenue of Business Unit PT. Blue Gas Indonesia BGI in 2013
achieved IDR 416,25 Billion or a slightly decrease of 1.87 as compared to IDR 424,18 Billion Sales Revenue in 2012. In the meantime, Gross
Profit of 2013 also decreased by 2.51 in 2013 from previously IDR 97,12 Billion in 2012 to IDR 94,68 Billion in 2013. Operating Profit of BGI also
experience a decrease from IDR 14,7 Billion in 2012 to IDR 8,95 Billion in 2013. Those performances brought the consequence of the decrease of
Net Profit of BGI from the level of IDR 21,03 Billion in 2012 to IDR 16,42 Billion in 2013.
Sales Revenue of Direct Selling - Packaged Gas Appliances decreased by 41.30, from previously IDR 43,46 Billion in 2012 to only IDR 25,51
Billion in 2013. On the contrary, Direct Selling – Non Gas Appliances Vienta significantly increased from previously IDR 47,87 Billion in 2012 to
IDR 60,03 Billion or an increase of 25.40 in 2013. Nevertheless, the total

25.40 di tahun 2013. Namun demikian total penjualan Direct Selling Gas Appliances paket + Non-Gas Appliances di tahun 2013 sebesar
Rp 85,54 Miliar masih lebih rendah 6.34 dari tahun sebelumnya yang mencapai Rp 91,33 Miliar atau terdapat penurunan sebesar Rp 5,79
Miliar. Penjualan Gas Refills sedikit menurun, yaitu sebesar 0,64 dari sebelumnya Rp 332,85 Miliar di tahun 2012 menjadi Rp 330,71 Miliar di
tahun 2013.
Komposisi penjualan BGI per jenis produk seperti tersebut diatas adalah sebagai berikut:
Kenaikan penjualan produk Non-Gas Appliances Vienta terutama disebabkan oleh: penambahan tenaga penjual, penambahan daerah
penjualan dan kenaikan harga produk. Selain itu, Tim Sales Gas Appliances juga diizinkan menjual produk Vienta dengan proporsi
terbatas. Penambahan area penjualan terjadi di Jawa Timur, Jawa Tengah dan Bali.
Penurunan nilai penjualan Gas Refills yang hanya sebesar 0.64 tidaklah mencerminkan situasi yang sebenarnya karena secara volume
penjualan Gas Refill mengalami penurunan sebesar 25,00, selisih yang terjadi karena adanya kenaikan harga jual LPG. Kenaikan harga
jual ini terpaksa dilakukan karena sejak bulan Februari 2013 patokan harga beli dari supplier berubah mengikuti fluktuasi harga LPG
internasional serta fluktuasi kurs USD.
Selain penurunan volume penjualan Gas Refills, dampak lain dari kenaikan harga LPG adalah menurunnya penjualan paket Gas
Appliances. BGI menyiasati penurunan penjualan paket Gas Appliances dengan melakukan pergeseran segmen pelanggan dari
sebelumnya BC class ke AB class yang diperkirakan lebih mengutamakan keamanan produk daripada harga murah. Namun
demikian, kesiapan tenaga penjual yang menyasar segmen pelanggan yang lebih tinggi tersebut belum memadai sehingga pencapaian
penjualan paket Gas Appliances masih jauh di bawah target . Persentase margin Laba Bruto BGI terhadap Pendapatan Penjualan di
tahun 2013 sedikit menurun dibandingkan dengan persentase di tahun 2012, yaitu masing-masing 22.75 dan 22.90. Persentase margin ini
tertolong oleh tingginya pencapaian produk Non-Gas Appliances yang mempunyai margin lebih tinggi sehingga bisa mengkompensasikan
penurunan penjualan Gas Appliances. Berbagai upaya peningkatan produktivitas dan efisiensi telah dilakukan
untuk menekan biaya-biaya operasi mengingat kinerja penjualan yang tidak begitu baik, namun demikian masih terdapat kenaikan biaya-
biaya. Biaya Operasional BGI di tahun 2013 yang terdiri dari Beban Penjualan Pemasaran dan Beban Umum Administrasi meningkat
sebesar 4.81 dari Rp 83,23 Miliar di tahun 2012 menjadi Rp 87,23 Miliar di tahun 2013. Hal ini terjadi karena kenaikan UMP yang cukup
tinggi yaitu 43,8 di Jabodetabek dan juga di kota-kota lain dengan Sales Revenue of Direct Selling Gas Appliances paket + Non-Gas
Appliances in 2013 of IDR 85,54 Billion was still 6.34 lower than the previous year achievement of IDR 91,33 Billion or a decrease of IDR 5,79
Billion. Sales Revenue of Gas Refills slightly decreased by 0,64 from previously IDR 332,85 Billion in 2012 to IDR 330,71 Billion in 2013.
The sales composition of BGI by product group as explained above are as follows:
The significant increase of sales of Direct Selling - Non-Gas Appliances Vienta was mainly because of: expansion of sales area and increase of
selling price. Apart from that, the sales team of Gas Appliances was also permitted to sell Vienta products. The area expansion was in several
cities of East Jawa, Central Java and Bali.
The decrease of Gas Refills which were only 0.64 did not reveal the actual situation because in term of volume the sales of Gas Refills
decreased by 25.00, the difference was as a result of the increase of selling price of LPG. The decision to increase selling price of LPG was
something BGI had to take because since February 2013 the buying price from supplier has to follow the fluctuation rate of international price
of LPG and the fluctuation of USD currency.
In addition to the decrease of sales volume of Gas Refills, the other significant impact of the increase of LPG price was the significant
decrease of Gas Appliances packaged products. To anticipate the further decrease of Gas Appliances products, BGI has now started to
change the strategy by moving up the customers segment from previously BC socio class to AB socio class which higher awareness of
products safety than the cheaper price. However the shifting would take time, at that moment the HR readiness of sales force for the higher
segment of customers was not adequate yet, hence the sales achievement of Gas Appliances packaged products was still far behind.
The percentage of BGIs Gross Profit margin towards its Sales Revenue in 2013 was slightly lower than the percentage in 2012 which were 22.75
and 22.90. The stable margin percentage was derived from satisfied achievement of high margin Non-Gas Appliances which compensated
the decrease of sales of Gas Appliances products of which the margin is also high.
Various programs conducted for improving productivity and efficiency with the aim to properly manage the operating expenses due to
unsatisfactory performance of sales. However, expenses were kept on increasing. BGI Operating Expenses in 2013 which consists of Selling
Marketing Expenses and General Administrative Expenses increased by 4.81 from IDR 83,23 Billions in 2012 to IDR 87,23 in 2013. The
reason was the increase of regional minimum wages in Greater Jakarta of 43.8 and increase in other cities with different percentage. The
