HOW TO MAKE AN EASY KITE
Flying a kite is a great way to spend a windy day outside. Instead of going out and buying one, you can easily make one at home with a few basic materials. You
can make your kite any color or length you want, and you can make it with or without dowels.
Ingredients:
-
Paper squarediamond shape
-
You can glue 4 8.5x11 pieces of paper together for a bigger kite.
-
Card stock is thicker and better than standard paper.
-
Tape
-
Glue
-
Scissors
-
Ribbon
-
Twine
-
Two bamboo dowels one the size of your paper diagonally, and one with an extra inch
First of all, gather your materials. You may have many of these materials on hand at home. Otherwise, try a craft store. Second step is, fold your paper in half
diagonally. Crease the paper well and open it up again. Third is, create your structure. Place the shorter one of your dowels in this crease and tape it. You want it
to be flush with the corners of your paper. After that, use your other dowel. Take your longer dowel and tape one end to a corner of your p
aper that doesn’t have the first dowel taped down. Although you taped the entire smaller dowel, only tape the end of
this one. Next is, arc your dowel. Now that one side is taped down, arc your longer dowel and tape the other side to the opposite corner. Use two small pieces of tape to
keep this arc in place. Then, cut excess tape. If you have excess tape on your edges, cut it away to prevent your kite from flying without control. The seventh step is, cut
your ribbon. Glue your ribbon to your kite. You want it to follow the same line as your shorter dowel. It will make a colorful tail to help your kite stay in flight. Finally,
attach your twine. Tie your twine onto the sides of the arched dowel. As soon as the glue on your ribbon dries, you’re kite is ready to fly. Wrap your twine around a toilet
paper roll if it makes it easier for you to reel in and out. 1.

HOW TO MAKE A PANCAKE Ingredients:
The following ingredients will make about 8 10-inch 25cm pancakes more or fewer, depending on the size; you may change the amounts of ingredients
according to the number you wish to serve: -
2 cups 18oz510g self-rising or all-purpose flour -
2 or 3 eggs -
1 12 cups 350ml of milk -
12 teaspoon of baking powder -
2 tablespoons of butter or vegetable oil -
5 tablespoons of sugar
- 12 teaspoon of vanilla extract optional
- A pinch of salt
First of all, crack the eggs into a bowl and beat until creamy. Add in the dry ingredients including baking soda if using self-rising flour. Do not stir mixture at
this point. Then, Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Make sure that its completely melted; about a minute is sufficient. After that, Add the butter and milk to
the mix. Stir gently, leaving some small clumps of dry ingredients in the batter. Do not blend until completely smooth. If your batter is smooth, your pancakes will be
tough and flat as opposed to fluffy. Next, Heat the frying pan to a medium low flame. If you have an initial pancake setting on your stove, use that. Be sure to use
non-stick spray, or a pat of butter so the pancakes wont stick and sprinkle a few flecks of water onto your pan. If it dances, or jumps from the pan with a sizzle, the
pan is ready for the batter. Next step is, pour about 3 tablespoons to 14 cup batter from the tip of a large spoon or from a pitcher onto the hot griddle or greased frying
pan. The amount you pour will decide the final size of your pancakes. It is best to begin with less batter, and then slowly pour more batter onto the pan to increase the
pancake size. Then, cook for about two minutes or until the pancake is golden. You should see bubbles form and then pop around the edges. When the bubbles at the
edge of the batter pop and a hole is left that does not immediately close up, flip the cake gently, cook the other side until golden and remove. Want a deeper color?
Repeat the steps for another thirty seconds per side until the pancake is done enough for your tastes. Finally, enjoy Try adding butter, peanut butter, syrup, jelly, chocolate
chips, cookies, candy crumbles or fruit to your pancakes for a different, more exciting flavor. The varieties are endless. These are the most delectable pancakes you will
ever taste. 1.
