Based on the data, there were eleventh proofreaders who said that there were commas, semi colons, and other punctuations marks used inappropriately. The
rest of the proofreaders or twenty four proofreaders said that all of the punctuations marks on the writings which they read were used appropriately.
Some of the writers usually forgot to put full stop on the last sentence. For
the example, the essay entitled My Old Home. Based on the proofreader’s
correction there was a sentence which the writer forgot to put full stop on the last of that sentence, If the night comes, the kitchen room was really without “lampu
senthir”
.
Another example, the essay entitled My Bedroom. The writer also did
not put a full stop in the last sentence of her writing, Besides strategic, my bedroom is also spacious
.
Another problem which occurred related to the punctuation marks was the writer did not put comma before and after mentioning several items. For the
example, on the writing entitled My Lovely Bedroom, This bathroom is just for
me, my sister

and my mother . Another example is a sentence on the writing
entitled Ganjuran Church. Pigeons, dog, monkeys and others…. It should be

Another example is on the writing entitled My Bedroom. The writer did not
put comma after adverbial place, for the example In the right of the table there is….,
