Another example is the essay entitled Teenagers Listening Hip Hop, the
proofreader corrected a sentence containing an incorrect punctuation mark, “So it is not surprising, if the teenagers….”
The proofreader said that comma should not be put before “if”.
b. Spelling
Based on the data, there were six proofreaders who stated that there were some words which were incorrect in spelling.

Semesters Students’ Feedback to Their Peers’ Writing
The data were gathered from the first draft of the second semester students who were taking Paragraph Writing Class with their friends’ feedback on it based
on the writing feedback checklist which had been provided by the researcher. The data were gathered on May 2012 until June 2012. There were 75 participants who
filled out the instruments which had been distributed. The participants consisted of the students of Class A, Class C, and Class D. The researcher analyzed 35
which were chosen randomly from all of the participants.
1. Content
In this study, the researcher wanted to figure out how the second semester students gave feedbacks on the content to their friend’s writing. There were some
points provided by the researcher as the guideline when the participants gave feedback on the content of their friends’ writings.
a The Clarity of the Writing’s Purpose
The researcher wanted to figure out how the participants provided arguments about the clarity of the purpose of their friends’ writing. Based on the data, there
was a proofreader stated that the purpose of her peer’s writing was unclear. She said that the topic sentence of the writing was unclear so that the purpose of the
writing also became unclear
