TL : Motif Teori Kesusastraan “Kaum formalis Rusia dan para peneliti bentuk dari Jerman seperti Dibelius, memperkenalkan istilah “motif”. witch beast and finally conquering all and living „happily ever after‟ is a common motif. 25 In Indonesian literary terms of Kamus Istilah Sastra, motif means Gagasan dan sifat lakuan yang berulang dalam karya sastra, baik berupa peran, citra yang berulang, ataupun pola pemakaian kata. Such as: Pengembaraan Panji, tokoh nenek Kabayan, Ibu tiri, anak bungsu, anak durhaka, and many more.” 26 The translator translated the word motif into motif, based on the dictionary both English and Indonesian, it has the same meaning. The translator has done correctly to translate that term. This term typed into loanword. Motif is used in target language text because it does not have the matching word and it has existed in Indonesian dictionary, so it is better to use the SL word “Motif” . The translator used “transference” translation procedure that takes form and meaning of the SL word which is absorbed totally. The word “Motif” is used in TL text because that word is familiar in literary area, so it will make the reader of TL text will be more easier to understand. 25 M. H.
