DISTRIBUTION: West Java to East Java. HABITAT ECOLOGY: Pandanus kurzii occupies very wide habitat ranges
from 20 to 1100 m above sea level. This species grows from the lowland to lower montane forest, but mostly found growing on hill forest, and only two
collection have been recorded from lower montane forest, flowering or fruiting in January to December.
VERNACULAR NAME:. Pandan sarengseng, pandan tawi. NOTES: Pandanus kurzii appears close to P. amaryllifolius. Morphologically
these species are similar to each other by sharing shrub, leaves chartaceous, apical ventral pleat smooth and tertiary cross vein form oblong meshes. Pandanus
amaryllifolius differs from P. kurzii by three character states, blade ensiform, scented leaves and leaf apex abruptly terminating at once in a point.
