60 the recording. The vocabulary part aims to familiarize the students to some terms related to invitation from the recording.

2. Main-task

There was only one section in this part namely Go. Go leads the students to listen to the recording. This part is the main-task. In this part, the students listen to the recording related to the topic in each unit. The students are given some tasks to do while listening. In the end of tasks, the students report their work to the class. The activity can be an individual task, in pairs, or in groups. For example, in unit “Celebration” which talks about invitation, the students listen to a recording which is about someone invites her friends to a birthday party. While listening, the students are asked to work on comprehensive questions related to the recording individually. After finishing the task, they are asked to work in pairs to check their answers before reporting it to the class. However, the tasks in the main-task for each unit are varied.

3. Post-task

In this part, there were two sections namely Get closer and Be a champion. Get closer enables the students to know more about the language focus and generic structure of each topic. This is the chance for the students to learn specific features of the topic discussed. For example, in unit “Celebration” which talks about invitation, the students are asked to study the elements and examples of the invitation. It aims to give the students the guideline of making an invitation. 61 Be a champion means that the students have mastered the topic and are ready to show their understanding on each topic. This part provides the students chances to reflect and implement what they have learned through the topic discussed. The task is mainly related to the language focus of the topic discussed and the content of the recording. For example, in unit “Celebration” which talks about invitation, the students are asked about the social function of an invitation and the elements of an invitation. Both questions enable the students to show their understanding on the topic of invitation.
