The priority studyindustry areas of Myanmar workshop are as follows: » Hospitality and Tourism » Construction » Agriculture and Fisheries As a result of this workshop, 4 Frameworks of cooperation were signed by 22 TVET colleges. e. The 5 th Country-Level Workshop: Vientiane, Lao PDR f. The 6 th Malaysia The workshop was held at New Rose Boutique Hotel, Vientiane, Lao PDR, on December 22-23, 2015. This workshop was participated by 60 participants from 8 countries of Southeast Asia; Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam. For the Country-Level Workshop in Lao PDR, the Technical and Vocational Education Department, Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR has identiied the following priority industrystudy areas for partnering with other TVET institutions from other Southeast Asian countries: » Hospitality and tourism » Agriculture and isheries » Electronics and mechatronics At the end, this workshop resulted in 3 framework of cooperation signed by 22 institutions. The workshop was held at Aminuddin Baki Institute, Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia, on March 1-3, 2016. The workshop was hosted by the Technical and Vocational Education Division TVED, Ministry of Education, Malaysia. And participated by 120 representatives from 9 SEA countries; Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. The priority areas for the country-level workshop in Malaysia are: » Bakery and Confectionery » Tourism » Electronics » Industrial Machining » Aquaculture » Construction Technology The outcome of this workshop resulted in 5 FOCs being signed by 104 TVET institutions and 1 proposed action plan for Bakery and Confectionary Group. g. The 7 th Country-Level Workshop: Quezon City, Philippines The Country-Level Workshop on SEA-TVET Harmonization and Mobility in Philippines was hosted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority TESDA and the Department of Education and co-organized by SEAMEO B Secretariat, SEAMEO SEARCA, SEAMEO VOCTECH, SEAMEO INNOTECH and ADB on May 3-4, 2016 at SEAMEO INNOTECH, Quezon City, Philippines. There were 3 priority areas covered in this workshop: » Hospitality and Tourism » Agriculture and Fisheries » Electronics, Mechatronics, and Manufacturing There were 137 participants from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and The Philippines coming to participate in this workshop.

2. Leadership Training Program for SEA TVET Institutions

Beside country-level workshops, there are also leadership training program for SEA TVET institutions. a. Regional Leadership Workshop for TVET School Principals The Regional Leadership Workshop for TVET School Principals was held in Surakarta Solo Indonesia on September 10-12, 2015. It was designed to support collaboration among vocational high schools, particularly in manufacture sector in Southeast Asian countries. This workshop is a signiicant part of country-level workshop series to promote harmonization and internationalization among TVET Institutes in Southeast Asia. The workshop was hosted by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and organized by Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization SEAMEO Secretariat, SEAMEO Regional Center for Open Distance Learning SEAMOLEC, Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education DTVE and Institute of Development and Empowerment for School Principals LPPKS. There were 29 school principals; college director and high oficer in various levels of vocational institutions from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand participate in this workshop. This workshop is designed in two weeks with various activities; country report, lecturing, seminar, discussion, group presentation, school visit, and ield trip. b. SEAMEO-British Council Leadership Program for Leaders of SEA Vocational Colleges SEAMEO has created collaborative programs with contributions from several organizations both public and private, including the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology IPST and the British Council Thailand. The initiative, supported by IPST and British Council has called Leadership Programs for Leaders of Southeast Asian Vocational Colleges which aims to enhance leadership capacity of vocational institute leaders in Southeast Asian region. The event was held on 16-19 February 2016 at Tai- Pan Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. British Council’s ‘Connecting Classrooms’ leadership programs for head teachers and senior educators provides tailor-made training to turn effective managers into inspiring leaders. The programs focuses on developing essential leadership skills, while uniquely embedding an international dimension in the curriculum and ethos of a school or a college. » provide new knowledge of leadership to leaders of technical and vocational institutions from SEAMEO Member Countries; » avail leaders of technical and vocational institutions from SEAMEO Member Countries of opportunity to strengthen their networks within the region and beyond; and » provide leaders of technical and vocational institutions from SEAMEO Member Countries opportunities to learn from industries. The participants of this program were 49 vocational institute leaders from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The second country level workshop was held on May 12-14, 2016 at Grand Nikko Hotel, Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia hosted by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, through the Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education. The event is jointly conducted with the SEAMEO Secretariat, SEAMOLEC, SEAMEO VOCTECH, Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit Regional cooperation programs to improve the training of TVET personnel GIZ RECOTVET, Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst national participants. “Strengthening Efforts towards Harmonization and Internationalization of TVET in Southeast Asia” is the theme for 2 nd High Oficials Meeting on SEA-TVET. The objectives of this event are: to determine the implementation plan of four 4 key TVET management areas of Partnership and Mobility; Harmonization and Standardization of Competency; Curricula in 21 st Century; and Strategies of ICT Integration in TVET. There were several presentations and discussions on regional initiatives, best practices and sharing of experience from experts in Southeast Asian countries, TVET development agencies, TVET institutions from other regions and industry partners. Exhibition stalls are set up where schools show their products. International participants also got the chance to do study visit to several TVET institutions in Bali. B. Review on Digital Simulation Materials and Learning Strategy

Digital Simulation was developed since 2012 as a new subject in the implementation of 2013 curriculum for vocational school’s students. As a subject that equip students with ability to communicate ideas concepts through digital presentations, in Digital Simulation, students will be tought how to utilize various digital communication tool as well as how to deliver their ideasconcepts eficient and effectively. In order to achieve its goals and functions, , Digital Simulation is composed of competencies that support digital communication and presentation. Those are Digital information management, Cyber class by using Edmodo as a Social Learning Network, Visualization of concept in the form of video and animation, as well as Digital Books with detail of learning time allocation is shown below. Learning time allocation of Digital Simulation As a new subject that equip students in utilizing various digital communication tools Digital Simulation has been continously developed for teachers to overcome challenges related to mastery of the contentsmaterials, availability of facilities infrastructures in schools, and ICT level of mastery by students in general. To identify any contentsmaterials that need to be mastered by teachers, in order to support their work and enhance learning effectiveness, it was a need to review Digital Simulation materials and learning strategies by involving teachers that have been trained by SEAMOLEC.
