and it was written by Endang Triningsih, Tumijo, Munawir, and H. Ismanto. The last workbook was Cerah, which hereinafter referred as workbook 3, was published CV
Teguh Karya and used in SMP Joanness Bosco. This workbook was arranged by twenty writers with Erni Riyanti as the coordinator.
Numbers of checklists were used to evaluate the three workbooks. The checklists consist of ten aspects, such as General Appearance, Design and Illustration,
Objectives, Topic Contents, Language Contents, Social and Cultural Contexts, Language Skills, Teachability, Flexibility, and Practice and Design. These ten aspects
cover fifty one criteria. Table B1 on page 40 shows the summary of evaluation result on those three workbooks and more detail evaluation result are presented as
following.

In General Appearance criteria, Workbook 1 had met four of the seven criteria; they were appropriate font size and type, the availability of informative
orientation page, appropriate title for every lesson, and complete bibliography. Workbook 3 had the same achievement as Workbook 1. Workbook 3 had also met
four criteria such as, informative and attractive cover, appropriate font size and type, the availability of informative orientation page, and complete bibliography. For these
four criteria, Workbook 1 and 3 had got 57.1 and this fulfilment indicated that Workbook 1 and 3 were sufficient in General Appearance Aspect. The next was
Workbook 2 which fulfilled fewer criteria. Workbook 2 had three criteria, informative and attractive cover, appropriate font size and type, and appropriate title
for every lesson. Thus, Workbook 2 was poor for General Appearance Aspect.
