characters in the movie. After that, the writer decided or classified the items what item included as what terms. The definition of each term helped the writer in the
classification of the items. In this study, as the result of the analysis, the writer found twenty six
anaphoric references, nine cataphoric references, and sixteen exophoric references. The writer also found that there are five 5 fields that are needed to
help the audience to understand what the characters are talking about: 1 Drugs Terms, 2 Military Terms, 3 Beverage Terms, 4 British Proverb Terms, and
5 Music Terms. In conclusion, by having clear references, referents, and inferences, the
writer wants to prevent the audiences’ misunderstanding or misinterpreting of the story line. The audiences are eased by the provided data and findings in the study.
