B. Formulation of the Problems

Based on the background of the study above, the problems of the study are formulated as follow: 1. How is marketing management implemented in Lembaga Bahasa dan Pendidikan Profesional LBPP LIA Surakarta? 2. How far can marketing management attract the students’ interest to join Lembaga Bahasa dan Pendidikan Profesional LBPP LIA Surakarta?

C. Objectives of the Research

Based on the statement of the problems, the objectives of this research are aimed at: 1. To study how marketing management is implemented in Lembaga Bahasa dan Pendidikan Profesional LBPP LIA Surakarta. 2. To identify how far marketing management can attract the students’ interest to join Lembaga Bahasa dan Pendidikan Profesional LBPP LIA Surakarta. APPENDIX 1

D. Benefits of the Research

The result of the research is expected to be able to give benefits for the researcher, institution, teacher, and the students. For the researcher, this research can be used as the comparative theory and the practice in the study. This research also gives some experiences relate the effects of marketing management toward the students’ interest to join an English course. For the institutions, this research can be used as the judgments and critics in planning and evaluating the management of marketing. For the teachers, this research is expected to support them to be professionalism by implementing this research when they become the entrepreneurships. For the students of LBPP LIA Surakarta, this research is expected to motivate them to learn English through English course intentionally. Because English course is one of places where people can develop and improve their English skill. For the students of English Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty, it can be used as a guide to the students who want to be the entrepreneurships in creating and managing their own English course.
