d. The Targets of the Students

The target of the number of the students in LBPP LIA is to get as many as possible students. “Target pemasaran LIA mendapatkan murid sebanyak- banyaknya”, the secretary said. In this context, as many as possible students means the fulfillness of all the classes provided. If the classes are full with students, the target is obtained. The target of the students in LIA is always fulfilled because the class always full. “Ya, terpenuhi terus. Selama ini kan terbatas dari ruang. Misalkan banyak siswa yang tidak tertampung di luar target kita”, said the secretary. In 2007, the number of the students in term 1 January-March is 1547 students, in term 2 April-June is 1464 students, in term 4 Juli-September is 1554 students, in the term 4 October-Desember is 1763 students. In 2008, the number of he students in term 1 January-March is 1613 students, in term 2 April-June is 1725 students, in term 4 Juli-September is 1525 students, in the term 4 October-Desember is 1745 students. In 2009, term 1 January-April, the number of the students in LBPP LIA Surakarta is 1747 students. The number of the students above shows that the target of the students is fulfilled. All of the classes are full with the students. All programs are fulfilled by the students. Beside that, there are no empty classes. More ever, the class is used more than twice for some kind of English programs in one day. As stated by the AOO, “Siswa sekarang kan 1800an siswa. Kami kewalahan.. The AOO tells that he overwhelmed by the number of students. It involves the limited room used. Nevertheless, the number above is not the target of students. Actually, the target of the students in LBPP LIA is about 2000 students. When the researcher asks the AOO: “Target sebenarnya berapa?” It like the statement of AOO in interview: “2000 sebenarnya, tapi ya 1800 alhamdulillah.” The data in administration shows that the total number of students for October 2008 is about 1800. LBPP LIA ever gets the total number of the students 1800. This number is used for October term only. Data of the students in the other tem is change. It is achieved from total all programs provided in LBPP LIA Surakarta. The table below shows that LBPP LIA reaching 1800 for the total APPENDIX 1 students’ number.
