62 7. Completing words, arranging words, filling in, matching, mentioning the name of the things and puzzle are the tasks that are usually given to the students. They use the same tasks but change the questions according to the topics given. 8. The tasks are given in the last part of every meeting because the two instructors give students explanation in the beginning and in the middle of the lesson. In addition, the tasks can be used to measure students’ ability in understanding the topics. 9. Students have to finish the tasks individually but when there is a game they have to work in group. 10. The difficulties for the students in learning English are that students are difficult to memorize new words in English, they are difficult to concentrate and students do not have a handbook, so they cannot study English in home.

2. Results of the Evaluation of the Designed Materials

In this part, the writer discusses the data which were obtained from questionnaire after the writer designed the materials. The discussion covers the description of the respondents, evaluation of the designed materials and the respondents’ opinions and suggestions toward the designed materials. Further explanation can be described below:

a. The Description of the Respondents

The respondents for this evaluation were five people. The five respondents were two English teachers in Kanisius Notoyudan and three lecturers of English Education Study Program in Sanata Dharma University. All the respondents have more than one-year experience in teaching English. Four of them are female and the rest is male. All of the respondents have got bachelor degree, and one of them has also got master degree. The data about the respondents were presented in the table 4.4. b. The Evaluation of the Designed Materials

The writer used questionnaire in order to gain an assessment of the designed materials. The respondents’ opinion were expressed in numbers showing their degree of agreement which ranged from 1 to 5. The numbers of agreement were classified as follows: 1: if the respondents strongly disagree with the statements 2: if the respondents disagree with the statements 3: if the respondents are uncertain with the statements 4: if the respondents agreed with the statements 5: if the respondents strongly agreed with the statements The data are collected and presented in the table 4.5. The variations of the tasks are able to support the attainment of the goal and the achievement indicators. 5 3.6 10. The use of Task-Based Learning to teach vocabulary is well-developed. 5 3.8 11. The content is relevant with the context and the situation which the language is used. 5 3.6 12. The data presented above show that the average point of the respondents’ agreement toward the designed materials is 3.6 to 4.6. The average point of agreement Mean on the designed materials evaluation is 4.05. The result shows that the respondents gave positive judgement and opinions about the designed materials, and also agreed with the designed materials. Therefore, the writer concluded that the designed materials are good and acceptable.

c. The Respondents’ Opinions, and Suggestions
