This teacher’s hand book is purposed to guide teachers who want to use this materials. It contains of the steps in implementing the materials in the teaching-
learning activities from the first unit up to the review as the last topic.Basically, these materials are purposed for the second grade students of Kanisius Notoyudan.
On the other hand, it would be fine to implement these materials to other school. But, there are some considerations that should be understood by teachers before
using the materials. Those considerations are: 1. It is important for teacher, first, to read the lesson plan in order to adjust
with the condition of the school. 2. Teachers need to prepare for VCD in implementing the materials. The
designer has adapted some movie parts from Magic English in the
materials. It is better for teacher to watch the movie provided before starting to teach.
3. These materials use Task-Based Learning for Beginners and Young Learners as the method. Each unit consists of three parts which represents
every stage in the Task-Based Learning for Beginners and Young Learners Framework except for the last unit as the review. Those three parts are:
Let’s begin to represent pre-task stage and to introduce the topic, Let’s practice to represent task-cycle stage and to give the students exercises
toward the explanation given and Let’s finish the lesson to represent language focus stage and to give students review.
4. Teachers need to read this teacher hand book before using the materials. Teacher could make any improvement which is appropriate to the schools
condition.
