60 instruction,  developing  the  instruction,  and  evaluating  the  instruction.
Additionally,  the  compilation  of teacher‟s  guideline  and  the  English  reading
exercises  design  are  attach ed  in  this  research‟s  appendices.  The  guideline
purposed to answer the first question of research problems and to help teachers of SMP  Pangudi  Luhur  1  Yogyakarta  in  designing  the  exercises  or  items  by  using
Hot-Potatoes version 6 program. Again, the design purposed to answer the second question  of  research  problems  in  this  research.  Therefore,  the  final  product
revision is attached in appendix G.
B. Recommendation
Through  this  research,  either  teacher  or  students  got  some  advantages  in teaching and learning process. Teacher learned how to design interesting English
exercises  through  the  use  of  interactive  tools  media.  In  addition,  teacher  also exploited  the  use  of  technology  as  online  learning  media.  Then,  students  also
learned  English  through  the  given  texts  and  exercises  in  accordance  with  the implementation of curriculum 2013. There were three recommendations for three
groups of people in designing better English reading exercises through the use of online learning media as in follow.
1. For Future Researcher
The researcher applied Hot-Potatoes basic program in creating the design. This research has not been completed yet because it is definite that technology is
always  changing.  It  is  very  necessary  to  develop  and  upgrade  with  another  new programs.  Hopefully,  the  future  researcher  can  create  a  better  design  using  a
61 sophisticated  program.  Therefore,  the  design  will  increase
students‟  interests  in learning English.
2. For Teachers of SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Yogyakarta
Teachers are supposed to maximize and optimize school‟s Internet facility.
Teachers  can  operate  Hot-Potatoes  version  6  to  help  them  in  doing  their  works. Thus,  they  can  present  their  weblogs  as  online  learning  media  to  be  more
interesting.  It  is  better  if  today ‟s  teachers  learn  how  to  use  interactive  online
learning  media  which  is  integratedapplied  in  their  learning  process.  The researcher  also  gave  teacher
‟s  guideline  to  help  them  in  creating  and  designing students‟ material by using Hot-Potatoes version 6.
3. For Lecturers of English Language Education Study Program
At  English  Language  Education  Study  Program  of  Sanata  Dharma University,  there  was  an  elective  subject  namely  Computer  Assisted  Language
Learning CALL. It is better if CALL becomes a subject which must be taken in this  study  program.  Therefore,  CALL  may  become  a  course  which  offers  before
the students take Language Teaching Media LTM course.
