Conclusions CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS
religious community as a nun with its strict Holy Rule has blocked her to serve God. She cannot help more people and the most important is that she wastes God’s
gift to raise children. As a result, Sister Regina is able to assert herself and decides to quit from the community.
In conclusion, the power of maternal instinct is very strong for the development of
Sister Regina’s personality. Some of her students like Anne Olсzak and Lucy Olсzak help her in recognizing the maternal instinct that grows in her.
Those children influence her through the interaction among them. All problems happened to the children has shocked her. It has changed her perception of serving
God and made her become an assertive woman. In addition, through this study, the writer hopes that readers are able to see
every kind of life from different points of view. People tend to think that being a nun is a perfect life. Some people say that a nun’s life is pure and flat with no
problems at all. However, a nun is also a human being that can feel love or pain. Through this novel, the writer can learn that everything may change under certain
circumstances. We cannot stop the change but we can choose and assert ourselves what kinds of life we will do.
