UNIT 3 WINK YOUR TWO EYES
A. Let’s Get Ready
Put a tick √ for the body parts’ pictures
Ask the students to work individually, to pay attention to the pictures and tick the pictures of body’s parts. It aims at knowing their background knowledge
of the topic. Ask the students to guess what they call those parts of body in English. Say
“What do you call this pointing the picture in English?”
Say “today, we will study about parts of body”
Look at the pictures, listen to your teacher and repeat after your teacher
Ask the students to guess what parts of body you are touching. Say “What is this?” If they don’t answer then you explain.
Explain to the students that we have many parts of body. Say “We have many parts of body”. Mention the names of the body’s parts by touching them. Say
“This is my hair”, etc. Be careful to pronounce the words. Make sure that you say them clearly.
Give the students examples to pronounce the names of the body’s parts and ask them to repeat after the teacher. Say “Listen and repeat after me”
Secondly, ask them to look at numbers. Ask them to listen to you pronouncing numbers. Say “Listen”.
Ask the students to repeat after you by saying “Repeat after me”. Give the students examples in reading the imperative sentences, including the
intonation. Ask them to do the movements based on the imperative sentences. Example: “Wink your eye” you touch your eye and wick it and ask them to
do the same. Say “Wink your eye, Class”
Ask some of the students to read the imperative sentences and the others will do the demonstration.

Try to include how many parts of body they have. For example say : “Wink your two eyes”, “Clap your hands”, etc.
B. Let’s Do It
Work in pairs and finish the jumbled words
Ask the students to work in pairs. Ask the students to arrange the jumbled words into good order. The pictures
are intended to ease them to arrange the words into good order.
Discuss the answers of the blanks by asking four students to come in front and rite the answers in the whiteboard.
Ask the students “is it correct?” and ask the students to respond “yes” or “no”. Ask them to demonstrate the action verbs, if they don’t know you give them
an example. Say “run” and demonstrate.
Ask two students to say some action verbs and demonstrate them.
Work in pairs, fill in the blanks and match the sentences to the correct pictures
Ask the students to fill in the blanks. If they have finished then ask them to match the sentences with the right pictures.

Play the “I say” game. Make a big circle and listen to your teacher’s explanation.
Ask the students to stand up and make a big circle. Put a piece of 5 circle shape papers on the floor, arrange them in circle form.
Here is the depiction:
Stand up in the middle. Say to the students “Let’s play I say game”. Tell them the rules:
1. The teacher will offer some questions, such as “How many fingers do you
have? How many hands do you have? How do you watch the TV?, etc”
2. After the teacher finishes the questions, the 5 fastest students who stand in
the papers will answer. Competition, the fastest will answer.
3. If they have answered, say “Go back” and ask them to stand where they
were.
4. The other students who are not fast enough should keep silent.
5. The students who have answered can’t answer again. The chance is only
once for each student.
Continue the game until most of the students have stood in the papers.
