Menangkap makna teks naratif lisan dan tulis, berbentuk fabel pendek dan sederhana penggunaannya. 4.18.1 Mengidentifikasi dan menyebutkan tokoh, tempat, dan waktu terjadinya cerita, masalah yang terjadi terhadap tokoh, akhir cerita dimana masalah sudah terselesaikan, dan pesan moral cerita 4.18.2 Menyampaikan fable picture book yang telah siswa baca kepada kelompok lain dengan cara meringkas picture books tersebut dalam bentuk Narrative Story Fable Elements Matrix berkelompok, kemudian membacakan hasil summary fable mereka ke kelompok lain

C. Tujuan Pembelajaran

Setelah Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar KBM berakhir diharapkan siswa dapat terampil menjelaskan unsur kebahasaan dan struktur teks narrative berupa fable yang ada dalam beberapa picture books dan meringkas picture books tersebut dalam bentuk Narrative Story Fable Elements Matrix.

D. Materi Pembelajaran Rincian dari Materi Pokok

Teks naratif berbentuk fable dari beberapa picture book yang telah dibagikan secara berkelompok  Fungsi sosial Memperoleh hiburan, menghibur dan mengajarkan nilai-nilai luhur melalui cerita dengan tokoh binatang.  Unsur kebahasaan a. Tatabahasa: Simple Past tense, Past Continuous Tense b. Kalimat langung dan tidak langsung c. Adverbia penghubung waktu: first, then, after that, before, suddenl, finally, dsb. d. Adverbia dan frasa preposisional penunjuk waktu: a long time ago, one day, in the morning, in a shiny day, dsb. e. Penggunaan determiner aan, article the, subject pronouns he, she, they, we, I, you, it, possessive adjectives my, our, his, her, its, their  Struktur Umum Teks Narrative 1. Orientation contains topic of an activity or event which will be told and has a function to get readers‟ interest. 2. Sequence of events that leads to conflict - climax contains description of a series of past events or activities which includes conflict - resolution. The functions of this part are to amuse readers and give moral value. 3. Resolution contains description of problem solving. 4. Coda contains brief conclusion of story or moral lesson of story.  Topik Fable Cerita dengan tokoh utama binatang yang memberikan keteladanan tentang perilaku jujur, disiplin, rajin, percaya diri, kerjasama, dan bertanggung jawab.
