proit center melalui toll-in manufacturing.
4. Risiko Harga Obat Generik
meningkatkan eisiensi mengelola modal kerja sehingga menekan biaya bunga.
2. Risiko Kredit
with highly luctuative price, including the Amoxicillin. In 2010, the price of imported materials and packaging was stable
with declining trend as a result of the strengthening of Rupiah against the US dollar.
3. Risks on Regulation
Related to the dynamic nature of regulations within the industry, such as the implementation of current-Good manufacturing
Practice c-GMP and Good Distribution Practice GDP, pharmaceutical industry was forced to comply with the ever
increasing quality standard. Product recall, even production and distribution license revocation becoming a serious
threats. With such condition, INDOFARMA was striving to convert the challenges into opportunities. The company is
gradually complying with the requirements of c-GMP and GDP, including increasing the production facility to comply
with the latest regulation requirements. Thus it provides the company with the ability to implement continuous operational
excellence principles, opening opportunities to convert
production department to be proit centre by utilizing the toll-in manufacturing.
4. Risks on Generic Drug Price
The price of Generic Drugs is controlled by the government by setting the Pharmacy Nett Price which valid for every OGB
manufacturers. To mitigate this risk, INDOFARMA continuously balancing the portfolio by launching Branded Drugs, including
the over-the-counter products. In 2011, the company launched and introduced nine new drugs, with one of them categorized
as OND. The company also prepared 21 new drugs, in which 16 of them are OND, which will be launched gradually in 2012.
5. Risks on Business Competition
The government does not provide the industry with limitation for certain company to manufacture certain drug, therefore
segments were not formed properly with numerous producers offering similar product to the same target market. This
situation led competition to price-based competition which in turn affecting the performance of the industry. To avoid loss, in
2011 INDOFARMA adjusted the sales portfolio with the focus on external products distributed by subsidiaries, which was
succeeded in providing a better aggregate proit margin.
Internal Risks 1. Liquidity Risks
The large sales proportion to government during the end of year whole the production process has to be conducted since
the beginning of year, creating the risk in temporary liquidity deiciency situation. To mitigate the risk, in 2011, INDOFARMA
maintain the commitment of working capital loans from Bank Mandiri. In 2011, the company signed a working capital
loan commitment by placing more than 50 of its assets as collateral. In the future, the company will still have to utilize
bank loans for its working capital needs. With better supply chain management, company was able to increase the
eficiency of working capital management thus decreasing the interest expenses.
2. Credit Risks Bad-debt risks will strongly affect the company cash-low. To
mitigate this, a strict term of payment schedule and intensive collection initiatives were implemented to customers.
