B. Suggestions

In this part, the writer proposes some suggestions for ELTI Yogyakarta, Stella Duce 1 Senior High School, English teachers of ELTI and Stella Duce 1 Senior High School, students, and future researchers. The suggestions are presented as follows. • For ELTI Yogyakarta The writer suggests ELTI Yogyakarta rearrange the time management effectively. The research recommends ELTI presenting insight on the implementation of the collaborative English teaching program which infers English instructions teaching media, teaching materials, and teaching activities in Collaborative Teaching. • For English Teachers of ELTI Yogyakarta and Stella Duce I Senior High School The writer recommends the teachers present a clear evaluation on the implementation of a certain style of teaching, applied in Collaborative English Teaching. In order, the English teachers will be able to make necessary improvements of the approach later on. • For Stella Duce I Senior High School Yogyakarta From the questionnaire results, the writer found that the student felt bored with the common method applied in the classroom. Therefore, the writer suggests Stella Duce I senior high school creates a new teaching and learning atmosphere not only for the school but also for the students. • For Other Researchers Considering that this research only focused on speaking skill, the writer suggested that further research be conducted due to the fact that this thesis merely focuses on the fluency development in the collaborative English teaching program. Rasional Kurikulum adalah seperangkat rencana dan pengaturan mengenai tujuan, isi dan bahan pelajaran serta cara yang digunakan sebagai pedoman penyelenggaraan kegiatan pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan tertentu. Tujuan tertentu ini meliputi tujuan pendidikan nasional serta kesesuaian dengan kekhasan, kondisi dan potensi daerah, satuan pendidikan dan peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu kurikulum disusun oleh satuan pendidikan untuk memungkinkan penyesuaian program pendidikan dengan kebutuhan dan potensi yang ada di daerah. Pengembangan Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan KTSP yang beragam mengacu pada standar nasional pendidikan untuk menjamin pencapaian tujuan pendidikan nasional. Standar nasional pendidikan terdiri atas standar isi, proses, kompetensi lulusan, tenaga kependidikan, sarana dan prasarana, pengelolaan, pembiayaan dan penilaian pendidikan. Dua dari kedelapan standar nasional pendidikan tersebut, yaitu Standar Isi SI dan Standar Kompetensi Lulusan SKL merupakan acuan utama bagi satuan pendidikan dalam mengembangkan kurikulum. Keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan di SMA Stella Duce 1 Yogyakarta apabila kegiatan belajar mampu membentuk pola tingkah laku peserta didik sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan, serta dapat dievaluasi melalui pengukuran dengan menggunakan tes dan non tes. Proses pembelajaran akan efektif apabila dilakukan melalui persiapan yang cukup dan terencana dengan baik supaya dapat diterima untuk memenuhi: 1. Kebutuhan masyarakat setempat dan masyarakat global 2. Mempersiapkan peserta didik dalam menghadapi perkembangan dunia global 3. Sebagai proses untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi Kurikulum SMA Stella Duce 1 Yogyakarta disusun dengan maksud untuk memberi kesempatan peserta didik untuk : a belajar beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, b belajar memahami dan menghayati, c belajar untuk mampu melaksanakan dan berbuat secara efektif, d belajar untuk hidup bersama dan berguna bagi orang lain, dan e belajar untuk membangun dan menemukan jati diri, melalui proses pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan.
