behaved man, fluent in speaking French, and also has a good and interesting sense of humor p. 15.
Easily, Igor can also carry his plan out by taking advantage of his physical appearance. When he goes to Cannes, he wants to get his ex-wife back. He
smartly takes his condition as a rich and good looking man to realize his plan. One of the security guards asks if he has an invitation, and he says that he
does. He pretends to search his pocket. A receptionist dressed in red asks if she can help.
He offers her his business card, bearing the logo of his phone company and his name, Igor Malev, President.... The receptionist welcomes him and
invites him in; she has learned to judge men and women by the way they dress, and “President” means the same thing worldwide….There was no
need to check the list. p. 40 Igor’s good, healthy, and proper physical appearance and behavior make
everybody sees him as handsome and good looking man. Let alone, he can make many women interested in him by seeing only his physical appearance. Although
he is forty, he is able to dress properly and keep his body healthy and that gives effect to his physical appearance.
4. Religious
Igor is a religious person. He is a Christian. He always does something on behalf of God. He also believes that God will always bless everything he does
because he is sure that he always does something good every time. He convinces that God is all powerful and the holy one, and therefore he fears God. When he
has conversation to a girl, named Olivia, who he kills after, he says that he is a good person and good Christian. He says “I was always honest in my dealings,

53 although there were, of course, times when I had to be hard and implacable. I was
always a good Christian….. In short, I did everything right” p. 21. He even thinks and admits that he is a good Christian who never breaks
God’s rules. It is proved by his remark that says he does everything right and he is always honest. Further, he says to Ewa, his lovely ex-wife, that God has
predestined a life for Igor and Ewa to be one for forever. He tries to make Ewa sure about his belief that God never wants to separate them apart. Besides, he also
wants to prove his true love to Ewa by conveying his belief. “God thought of everything,” he went on. “We are together because he
decided we should be. You may not fully appreciate your importance in my life, but without you, I would never have got where I am today. He
placed us side by side and lent me his power to defend you whenever necessary. He taught me that everything is part of a plan, and I must
respect that plan down to the last detail. If hadn’t done so, I would either be dead in Kabul or living in poverty in Moscow.” p. 94
Igor’s strong belief in God has made him accept that all things come to him and things he has successfully got are from God. He thinks that if he always
does something good in his life, God will never take everything from him. He also deeply believes that God will respect them whom are able to deserve well the gifts
from him and who are afraid of him. Thus, he realizes his belief in his life because he is afraid to lose many things he has achieved p. 156.
One time when Igor is doubtful if he should continue his plan or leave it, he constantly thinks that the devil has possessed his thoughts and also tries to
mislead him not to continue his plan to kill others only to get his ex-wife back. Igor believes that God will sanction everything he does even when he has to kill
many people, which he considers that act is good to be done for their goodness.

54 Therefore, he never deems his deed as bad and sinful since he constantly
considers them in the name of God. Even the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, was tested as Igor is being tested
now: being tempted by the Devil. And he needs to cling on tooth and nail to his faith if he’s not to weaken in the mission with which he has been
charged. The devil is asking him to stop, to forgive, to abandon his task. The devil
is a top-class professional and knows how to fill the weak with alarming feelings such as fear, anxiety, impotence, and despair. p. 195
From the analysis, it can be assumed that actually Igor is a quite good Christian, but unfortunately he misuses his belief in God for many things he
considers right whereas for others view it as abnormal or uncommon.
5. Obsessive
