The scores of all writing elements improved.

6. Evaluating and Reflecting.

The students’ confidence in learning, exploring, and expressing increased. They were also consistent in making effort, and willing to overcome their difficulties. The students’ improvement can be seen from changing the students’ behavior as long as they joined in English class. It seemed the students were interested in English lesson, when the teacher asked them to do the exercises they did the exercises seriously than before. They tried to do the exercise commit to user 93 enthusiastically and they tried to ask a question if they did not know or understand the lesson given. The students’ behavior changed. It can be seen from their attitude in beginning of the English lesson. They were not crowded anymore. They sat quietly. It seemed that they were ready to follow the lesson. There was a good response during the teaching learning process. They tried to answer the question as well as possible The result of teaching and learning process of English writing competence using pictures series as a media increased from the first cycle to the second cycle and the post-test. The improvement was quite significant in improving the English writing competence. It could be seen by comparing the score of the pre-test, first cycle, second cycle, and the post-test. The result of the mean scores that they got from the second cycle to post- test was as follows: the mean of second cycle was 65.703 and the mean of the Post-test was 78.468, it can be concluded that there is a progress than before. It means that there is improvement of the students’ ability. The computation using t- Test of non independent, the result showed that is t o= 6.75306752. because t o 6.75306752 is higher than t t 31,0.05 2.704, or the students’ ability in writing procedure texts improved significantly. From the reflection, the result of the Post- test pictures had given a better improvement. It could be concluded that using picture series in the teaching-learning could improve the students’ ability in writing procedure texts.
