The Company has adopted a comprehensive and effective approach to managing risk in order to protect the achievement of our strategic objectives, grow our profitability and assure the sustainability of the business. Responsibility for identifying, analyzing and managing risks is shared between the Board of Directors, Board of Management, the Risk Management Committee and other relevant management positions. However, the company seek to promote a risk culture throughout the Company, and, where appropriate, stakeholders and business partners also play a role in ensuring that risks are effectively anticipated and addressed. The company’s approach to risk management is formulated in Enterprise Risk Management Framework, which sets out the objectives, the risk management strategy, organisation and governance, the methodology and the monitoring and reporting processes. The key components of the framework are: 1 risk identification, including awareness, measurement, monitoring and control; 2 risk management infrastructure, including organisational structure, governance systems, data collection, analysis methods, policies and procedures and reporting; and 3 corporate culture, including training, performance measurement, value development and rewards. This framework allows the Company to address risks proactively in a number of strategic areas. Although responsibility for risk management lies ultimately with the Board of Directors, the Company has established a Risk Management Committee to strengthen the monitoring and control of our risk management processes. Their duties and responsibilities, which essentially consist of developing, implementing and managing strategies to minimise business risk, are defined by the Risk Management Committee Charter. The Internal Audit, the Audit Committee and the company’s external auditors work alongside the Risk Management Committee to identify, assess and mitigate risks. These groups assess risk parameters in various areas, focusing on critical systems, areas affecting costing andor profitability, areas of fraud or abuse of authority, and Company-wide operational, financial and IT systems.
