They try to convince the other people to believe the truth and what they say. Then, the second position is directive category which has 50 findings. The text writers make asks, suggestions, prohibitions, and requests. They want other people to do an action toward the issue. Therefore, something better will happen later. The third is expressive category which has 41 findings in the texts. Through the expressive category, the text writers express their feeling or emotion toward the issue. In this category, the text writers invite themselves and other people to make commitment. The text writers together with other people carry out some action in the future for better things. As the result, assertive is the most frequently employed speech act category in all themes. The text writers prefer to give statement, explanation, clarification, expectation, and prediction about the issue than ask the others to do something or express their feeling. It is used to convey the deeper information and convince the reader to believe the truth or what they say. Assertive category is in the first position with 50.52. Then, the second position is directive category with 25.77. Almost equal with directive category, expressive category gets 21.13 as the third position. The last position is commissive category.
