In English class, the teachers have taught integrated skill because the text book “Look
Ahead” presents integrated skill.

proficiency in your class? The level of students’ English proficiency is in

usually have in speaking? The difficulties found were lack of confidence
and fear of making mistake in front of their peers. 6.

students to feel confident. Provide some strategies such as cooperative
learning and problem solving.

The need is no fear to speak up in the process of learning. Yes, it is fulfilled. Yet, the teacher
should always provide comfortable atmosphere for the students to speak up.

familiar for the students? Yes, the topics given are always familiar to the

Can the students relate the topics given to their background knowledge?
Yes, they can relate almost topics to their background knowledge. However, if they find
any difficulty, the teacher should explain further so the students can do the practice.
11. Are the materials and tasks in accordance
with the context of use in daily life? Yes, they are. Nevertheless, the students
sometimes do not understand the use of the materials for their daily life.
12. Can the students give the meaning in their
learning and apply it directly in the task given?
Yes, they can. Yet, the students sometimes have difficult time to do the task since they do not
understand what they should do or they are not familiar to the topic.
