3. The Needs Survey Data

The writer presented the data of respondents including the teacher and students’ opinion about the condition of teaching speaking in classroom and the students’ behavior toward learning speaking. The writer presented the result of data from interview with the English teachers in the form of conclusion. Unlike the interview, the result of questionnaire was described in the form of percentage.

4. The Needs Survey Data Analysis

The data taken from needs survey was divided into two categories. The first one was data from interview with the English teachers. The result would be shown in the sentence which would be concluded. The second data was taken from open- closed questionnaire taken from the students. B. FEEDBACK GATHERING

The feedback gathering was employed in order to obtain participants feedback and contribution in order to develop final version of designed materials. This step was really beneficial since the writer needed to know whether or not the designed materials were appropriate to teach the second grade students of language program. 1. The Feedback Gathering Respondents Evaluating the designed materials, the writer chose the respondents as follows: a. The second grade English teachers of language program at SMA Stella Duce 1 Yogyakarta. Directly involving in learning process as facilitator in classroom, it was necessary to have teacher’s opinions whether or not the designed materials were suitable for teaching the second grade students of language program. b. The English lecturers of Language Education Program in Sanata Dharma University Being experienced in teaching English, their knowledge was valuable to evaluate the designed materials. It is expected that their contribution would represent all of the English lecturers in Sanata Dharma University.

2. The Feedback Gathering Instruments

To gather feedback from the respondents, the writer used closed questionnaire. 3. The Feedback Gathering Data

The writer presented two kinds of data. The first one is the data about the respondents’ educational background and their years of teaching experiences. The second data is the descriptive statistic data about the respondents’ opinion and suggestion toward designed materials.
