F. Data Trustworthiness
In a scientific research, data trustworthiness is important to make sure the data in the research are reliable and credible. Therefore, to gain the data trustworthiness,
triangulation was used in this research. According to Lather in Lincoln and Denzin, 2003: 141, triangulation is the method used to obtain trustworthiness from various
data sources, methods and theoretical schemes. Triangulation is necessary to make sure that the research and the data are original and different compared to other
researches. By using triangulation, the data in the research become reliable and credible to trust and to read by other people.
To make the data become reliable and credible in this research, triangulation was done by the researcher. Two students majoring English Language and Literature
study program have done the triangulation by checking and rechecking the data. The researcher chooses these students because they were taking literature concentration
who have the same knowledge which are in line with the topic of this research. To reach minimum mistakes in this research, the researcher was regularly consulted to
the researcher’s advisors about the content including the data, method and theory in this research. They checked and examined the credibility and reliability of the
research. Therefore, from doing triangulation the reliability and credibility of the data in this research could be attained.
