6. Evaluating the Designed Materials

In this study, the evaluation was done by conducting a survey study. The writer distributed a questionnaire to the three English teachers in SMA BOPKRI 2 Yogyakarta and two lecturers from English education study program of Sanata Dharma University. The respondents gave their opinions, comments, and suggestions for the designed set of listening materials.

B. The Result of the Evaluation Survey Administered to Evaluate the Designed Set of Materials

To collect the evaluation on the designed set of English instructional listening materials using CLT for the tenth grade students of SMA BOPKRI 2 Yogyakarta, the writer conducted a survey study. The materials and the evaluation questionnaire were distributed to the respondents. The description of the respondents, the respondents comments, suggestions, opinions, and the revision of the designed materials are presented in the following discussion.

1. The Description of the Respondents

There were five respondents who participated in this research. They were three English teachers of SMA BOPKRI 2 Yogyakarta and two lectures of English education study program of Sanata Dharma University. The description of the respondents is presented in the Table 4.8 as follows. 2. Data Presentation in the Form of Descriptive Statistics

The questionnaires were distributed to the respondents to gain the data about the evaluation of the designed materials. The respondents opinions were classified into numbers that show their degree of agreements. The points of agreements are shown below. 1 = the respondents strongly disagree with the statement. 2 = the respondents disagree with the statement. 3 = the respondents feel uncertain about the statement. 4 = the respondents agree with the statement. 5 = the respondents strongly agree with the statement.
