Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa agroforest karet merupakan tipe tutupan lahan yang dapat berperan dalam pelestarian spesies pohon, disamping
hutan sekunder. Oleh karena itu, penelitian mengenai mekanisme imbal jasa bagi petani yang mau mempertahankan agroforest karet 60 tahun perlu dilakukan.
Selain itu, penataan lanskap juga perlu dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan tipe tutupan lahan yang memiliki nilai konservasi seperti agroforest karet 60 tahun dan
hutan sekunder dengan tipe tutupan lahan yang memiliki nilai ekonomi dalam mosaik-mosaik landskap.
