PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR BENTUK ALJABAR DENGAN MODEL STAD MENGGUNAKAN ALAT PERMAINAN KARTU

Abstract. The purpose of this study was
to improve seventh grade student’s ability to solve algebra equation problems using a modification of a domino game. Classroom
Action Research CAR was considered as the suitable methodology. The procedure comprises two cycles involving several steps: plan, implementation, evaluation,
observation, analysis, reflection and follow up. The first cycle was conducted using the Students Teams Achievement Development STAD model in which the learning
outcomes were low. This might be caused by the fact that students were not accustomed to playing with the domino cards. The learning outcomes were improved
during the second cycle. The results suggest that teachers should not prohibit students from playing appropriate domino cards with their peers during their spare
and leisure time.
