5. Whole Sentence Code-switching

Based on the length of juxtaposed, the next type of code-switching that will be discussed is whole sentence code-switching. A sentence can be a statement, question, or command. The most number of whole sentence cases was 465 cases existed in Cosmopolitan magazines, 396 cases in Herworld magazines and the least number of cases was 364 cases occurred in Female magazines. Table 4.17 explained the detailed number of whole sentence code-switching cases in each category. The most number of whole sentence code-switching cases were found in Cosmopolitan magazines. There were 150 cases happened in advertisement 43 category of Cosmopolitan magazines. Furthermore, the most frequent whole sentence code-switching cases which occurred in this category were positive sentences in form of imperative. In Female magazines, there were 122 cases of whole sentence code- switching found in advertisement category. In addition, the most frequent whole sentence code-switching cases that existed in this category were positive sentences in form of imperative. In contrast to the one happened in Cosmopolitan magazines, the least number of whole sentence code-switching cases happened in advertisement category of Herworld magazines. There were 109 cases found in this category. Moreover, the most frequent whole sentence code-switching cases that occurred in this category were positive sentences. In addition, table 4.18 showed some whole sentence code-switching which happened frequently in the advertisement category of the target magazines. There were 180 cases emerged in feature category of Cosmopolitan magazines. Moreover, the most frequent whole sentence code-switching cases which occurred in this category were positive sentences. Then, in Female magazines, there were 161 cases which explained the least number of whole sentence code-switching cases happened in feature category. In addition, the most frequent whole sentence code-switching cases which existed in this category were positive sentences. Whole sentence code-switching cases were mostly found in Herworld magazines. There were 185 cases appeared in feature category of Herworld magazines. Additionally, the most frequent whole sentence code-switching cases that occurred in this category were positive imperative sentences. In addition, table 4.19 showed some whole sentence code-switching which existed frequently in the feature category of the target magazines.
