72 respondents disagreed with the statement and 93.34 of the total respondents
agreed with the statement. Therefore, the members could manage their parts well and every member had chance to practice speaking English.
1.5. Student’s Perception on Uploading Group Video Project in YouTube
The fifth category was about the students’ perception on uploading group video project in YouTube. The researcher related it with the theory from Brunner
2013, YouTube is authentic and offers rich multicultural contents that provides a unique insight into the target culture. The easy connection with other social media
enables cooperation, for instance sharing videos and communicating when rating and commenting on video.
The mean of this fifth category was 2.7, therefore this category was positive. The conclusion was, the respondents had positive perception on
uploading group video project in YouTube. Further explanation about the result of each statement in this category would be explained as follows.

73 Table 4.5 presented the percentage distribution of statement number
twenty eight until statement number thirty two. The result of statement number twenty eight resulted 3.33 of the respondents strongly disagreed, 20 of the
respondents disagreed, 23.33 of the respondents agreed, and 53.33 of the respondents strongly agreed that it was their first time uploading video project in
YouTube. Therefore, there were only 23.33 of the respondents disagreed that it was their first time uploading video project in YouTube and 76.66 of the
respondents agreed that it was their first time uploading video project in YouTube. This result showed that the activity of uploading video project in YouTube
became the first experienced for them. The respondents was curious about the comments for their video, thus it made the respondents wanted to do the best in
their group video project. The respondents made the English group video project seriously to get the best result.
Statement number twenty nine related to the statement that the respondents could get internet connection easily when uploading the video
presented the result both strongly disagreed and disagreed had 23.33 of the respondents. Meanwhile, 33.33 of the respondents agreed and 20 of the
respondents strongly agreed with the statement. Totally, there were 46.66 of the total respondents could not get internet connection easily when uploading the
video and there were 53.33 of the respondents got internet connection easily when uploading the video. By getting internet connection easily, the respondents
became more enthusiastic in uploading their video project and the respondents did not spend much time in uploading the video. Therefore, it was not time
74 consuming while uploading the video.
The result of statement number thirty presented 13.33 of the respondents strongly disagreed and 36.67 of the respondents disagreed that the
respondents were proud of uploading the group video project in YouTube. 40 of the respondents agreed and 10 of the respondents strongly agreed that the
respondents were proud of uploading the group video project in YouTube. The total respondents who were not proud of uploading the group video project in
YouTube were 50 and the total respondents who were proud of uploading the group video project in YouTube were also 50. The result was equal between the
respondents who disagreed and the respondents who agreed with the statement. The respondents were ashamed that their videos were watched by other people in
YouTube, the respondents were afraid if their group video project was not as good as what they thought. Meanwhile, half of the respondents believed that they got
prestige by uploading their group video project in YouTube. The respondents were proud of their video project, the respondents hoped that their group video
project could be seen by others and learned from their video project. Statement number thirty one resulted 13.33 of the respondents strongly
disagreed and 33.33 of the respondents disagreed that the respondents found difficulties in uploading the group video project in YouTube. There were 33.33
of the respondents agreed and 20 of the respondents strongly agreed that the respondents found difficulties in uploading the group video project in YouTube. It
showed that totally there were 46.66 of the respondents did not find difficulties in uploading the group video project in YouTube and there were 53.33 of the
75 respondents found difficulties in uploading this group video project in YouTube.
From the open-ended questionnaire, there were only 10 respondents 33.33 who did not find difficulties in uploading this group video project in YouTube and
there were 20 respondents 66.67 who found difficulties in uploading the group video project in YouTube. The respondents who did not find difficulties mostly
stated that the internet connection was fast enough because the school had wifi. The respondents could easily connect to the internet from the wifi of the school.
The respondents who found difficulties they mostly stated that they were got difficulty in getting the stable internet connection outside the school. The
difficulty was about the internet connection that was too slow or the respondents could not get the internet connection because the wifi of the school only could be
accessed in certain area of the school. The researcher crosscheck the result from the questionnaire with the data
from the interview and also made the interview result as the supporting data. The result of the interview showed basically the respondents did not find difficulties in
uploading the group video project in YouTube, the problem was only in getting the internet connection. One of the interviewee, interviewee 2, stated that was the
first experience in uploading video in YouTube, thus sometimes the respondent forgot the steps although the steps were already explained and demonstrated
before. The result of statement number thirty two presented 6.67 of the
respondents strongly disagreed and 63.33 of the respondents disagreed that the they were not interested in uploading the group video project in YouTube. 20 of
76 the respondents agreed and 10 of the respondents strongly agreed that the
respondents were not interested in uploading the group video project in YouTube. Totally, there were 70 of the respondents who were interested in uploading the
group video project in YouTube and there were 30 of the respondents who were not interested in uploading the group video project in YouTube. It was clearly that
most all of the respondents were interested in uploading the group video project in YouTube. The result showed that the respondents were satisfied in uploading their
group video project in YouTube. The respondents interested in uploading others group video project related to the use of English in speaking later on.
The conclusion of the first research question relate d to the students’
perception on the use of group video in speaking practice based on the results of the research, the respondents had positive perception toward the use of group
video in speaking practice. The respondents believed that through group video project, their speaking skills had the improvements. The respondents wanted to
practice speaking English more often after creating a group video. The respondents were more confident to speak English and the respondents were also
motivated to practice speaking English. Although the respondents found difficulties in uploading the video project in YouTube, especially in getting the
internet connection, the respondents believed that group video project was an interesting way to practice speaking English.
2. Students’ Perception on the Implementation of Group Video
This part answered the second research question. The research was to find out the
students’ perception on the implementation of group video. In order to
